Addis Ababa - Harar
Travel with Ethiopian Airlines to Dire Dawa from Addis Ababa. Proceed to Harar by car from Dire Dawa. Take a stroll around Harar, the fourth-most-important city in the Islamic world, which is a walled city from the sixteenth century. See the house of the famous French poet Arthur Rimbuad, who spent the 19th century working and residing in Harar as a “gun-runner”.

Take a look at the vibrant Islamic market. See the Ras Mekonnen (father of Haile Selassie) home and the National and Harari museums. Observe the “Hyena Man” providing food to the hyenas that congregate outside the town every night in the evening.

Harar - Addis Ababa
A visit to the vibrant Islamic Market in the morning. Take a car to Dire Dawa from Harar. Take a plane to Addis Ababa. See the National Museum, which is home to “Lucy,” a 3 million-year-old skeleton. shopping for mementos is optional. Savor a farewell dinner at a traditional Ethiopian restaurant with musicians and dancers from a variety of the nation’s ethnic groups. Transfer to the airport in preparation for a late-night departure or, upon request, a second night at the hotel.
